The rainbow bubble is good if you can’t take out some row to get to see the ceiling fast enough. You can stop the bombs in the ceiling by shooting bubbles under them, if needed. If you shoot down the ceiling with the Upper Bombs unstopped, the level is worth only two stars.
Starting Bubbles: 40 Recommended Potions:
3 holes in the ceiling, RB Bubble Points needed for 1, 2, 3 Star:
60 000, 90 000, 125 000 Special bubbles:
2 Bomb Bubbles Black Bubbles
Most of the setups for level 9 at EI #1 come with one main thing in common; It is not a good idea to burst your way straight up and set of a Bomb, as there are very little opportunities to get the Bomb to fall before it detonates. And it is a lot of bubbles, that will give you many points when they fall into the cauldrons with the ceiling.
When you have bursted away the two lowest rows you can see the ceiling.
A rare set of Bubbles, where the Bomb can be shot down without any complications. The secret to get 3 Stars on level EI 1-9 is to go through the Bombs, so be prepared to loose a lots of lives if you are aiming for the third Sea star at this level.
You need to break the Infection soon after the game have rolled out the lastlevel of the first section at the Eternal Isles. I have done some counting while playing level 10 and the infection drips down all too low at latest on bubble number 11 or 12. (It depends on the order that the infected bubbles are coming down.) You stop the infection by aiming at the hotspots shown in the upper pic. Click on the picture to get a bigger version that you can have in a separate window while you play. The marks 2 and 3 are there to show what you need to pop away using the aiming spots.
In the picture to the left you see a yellow line, that line is drawn to mark the absolute final allowed place for the infection to reach. If it reach under it, you will not be able to see enough to get to the ceiling.
Tips fromCynthia Ledgley: “For E1-Lvl 10 one shot I discovered was the shot where the two bubbles are in an L shape with an apparent insurmountable gap and a doom bubble just above the gap. It’s at the spot you must hit in order to avoid the infected bubbles from dropping too low. To avoid having to aim past the doom bubble you can hit the bubble just to it’s side, on the bottom, in the middle and it will also take out the other too bubbles across the gap (hmmm does this make any sense at all LOL). Learning what kinds of shots you can actually make in this game is very helpful.”
Starting Bubbles: 30 Recommended Potions: 7 extra bubbles, 3 holes in the ceiling and the RB Bubble Points needed for 1, 2, 3 Star:
90 000, 140 000, 180 000 Special bubbles:
6 Bomb Bubbles Infected Bubbles Black Bubbles
I found it hard to squeeze in the bubble to drop the frame that surrounds the black bubbles. With the Charm of precision it is doable, but without that, it is almost impossible. Therefor I lift the frame with one bubble as shown in the picture, so I reach it better.
I don’t let the first black bubble frame fall right away. I burst some bubbles first, so that I have a lot of Spiders to drop the black bubbles on.
Bubbles in the beginning: 30 Magic Potions that I used: The 3 holes in the ceiling, the 7 extra bubbles and the Rainbow Bubbles Charm noticed to be good: The Charm of Webbing (I haven’t got it, but many have thanked that while scoring good at EI1-6) Obstacles: Crystal Bubbles 12 Bomb Bubbles
1 Star = 100 000 points, 2 Stars = 140 000 points, 3 Stars = 180 000 points
Focus on bursting your way to the top on the side where you have fever openings ready made from the 3-hole-in-the-ceiling Potion. If you get lucky enough to have good clusters of at least two same colored bubbles in the ceiling at level EI 1-6 at one side of the Bomb Column, you should naturally focus on bursting your way up on that side! With nine holes to achieve, you can’t really afford to go up on the wrong side, just swinging the level. Here is a two Star video with the charm of Webbing for this tactic.
It is safe to start the countdown for the Bombs, when you have 10 Bubbles left. I usually start them a bit sooner (12-15 left) or by accident ALL too soon. Patching up Bombs that are about to detonate doesn’t give any Stars at this level. So you don’t need to try it for yourself, I have tried it all too many times, LOLs. The amount of score that you need to get that desired one Star is ridiculous. 135 000 Points on just 37 Starting Bubbles (And that is WITH the Magic Potion) doesn’t make sense.Special Tips for those STUCK ON LEVEL 6; Go back and train on level 35 and level 59, they are very similar!!!
Tips & Tricks by Carol-Anne Yard:
◾Save one rainbow ball for final shot
◾Have least 1 green spider when final ceiling bubbles dropped
◾Shoot the opposite to side where the holes are – in this case the left where there was 1 just ceiling hole
◾Potions used: 7 bubbles, 3 extra ceiling & rainbow bubbles.
Elevate level by placing bubbles under bottom row.
Super Tips from Bastienne:
You can heighten the level in the beginning to score better. If you do so, you will have more chances to get one Star, as you can burst many clusters in a row to get yellow and hopefully also some green spiders to drop the Bombs on in the end.
I was lucky enough to catch a Star quite soonish after entering level 6. Getting a proper video of it was even more astonishing, as I often mess up my screencasts somehow. XD.
Here is Bastienne’s great Tips available as a video. You find the first video at Youtube. I am now proud to present the heighten strategy captured on video! Wohoo!
It is a good idea to memorize the bubbles on your right hand when the game first roll out. You will very likely find yourself in a position when you can use the knowledge of the bubble colours. That is right after bursting your way through the lower section, but not yet revealed any more of level EI 1-7. If you haven’t memorized the bubbles, you can use one of your Rainbow bubbles to drop a big cluster from the wall on a green spider.
Most of the level guides at this site have a video as a complement to the textual guide, level 7 at he first eternal isles section has one as well and here it have an essential role, as you’ll need to see for yourself what I mean with organized luck. In the video (time 1:45) I am shooting a baby blue bubble to drop the ceiling. I got lucky there, but actually luck have not so much to do with clearing as you may think. If I wouldn’t have dropped the ceiling with the blue bubble, I would have dropped it soon enough using a rainbow bubble! The rainbow bubble is actually the main ingredient for success at EI level 1 – 7! I have tried alternate ways of playing this level, but never managed to actually pass for even one Star, those times that I get to see the ceiling before it drops.
